Project scope
This consultancy services comprised of carrying out of detailed engineering designs, tender documentation, assistance in the tendering process and supervision of about 24 km new pumping/transmission lines which included the following:
- DN 700 from Gaba III Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to Gun Hill reservoirs, about 10.80km long and capable of conveying 50,000 m3/day to the existing reservoir.
- DN 900 from Gaba III WTP to Muyenga reservoirs, about 6.14km long and capable of conveying 90,000 m3/day
- DN 500 from Muyenga to Rubaga reservoir, about 5.23km long.
- As part of the services, it is required to establish the operational condition of the existing transmission mains and the reservoirs at Muyenga, Gunhill and Rubaga, and advise on the remedial works required
- Detailed engineering designs, including hydraulic analysis, detailed topographical and geotechnical field investigations
- Environmental & Social Impact Assessments
- Tender documentation,
- Assistance in the tendering process,
- Works Supervision of 24 km new pumping/transmission lines and Superintendence of Defects Liability Period
