Project scope
This project aimed at developing planned and standardized infrastructure in all the protected areas. The planned and standardised infrastructure will give the UWA buildings some identity in layout and architectural form-making adapted to the different climatic zones of the country.
Development of infrastructure in the selected protected areas would comprise construction or improvement of the following:
- Office/administration buildings,
- Senior and junior staff accommodation ranger outpost buildings,
- Armouries,
- Gate houses,
- Portable water & power supply,
- Solid waste and sewage disposal facilities,
- Storm water drainage,
- Access roads,
- Landscaping of the sites and fencing/security and safety measures.
- Surveys and investigations of sites, buildings, water and power facilities at 125 sites, including inventory or rehabilitation and improvement requirements.
- Preliminary design including settlement planning, master plans and a preliminary cost estimate.
- Preparation of prequalification documents (dossier) and prequalification evaluation report.
- Detailed design and tender documentation, including technical specifications, detailed architectural and engineering drawings, bills of quantities, cost estimate, final design report and tender documents.
- Assistance to Client during the tendering period, preparation of tender evaluation report and contract documents.
- Supervision of works construction, preparation of minutes of progress meetings and progress reports
- Issuing of interim and final payment certificates.
- Attendance during the Defects Liability Period and preparation of Project Completion Report.
